Faculty, Centre for Sensors, Instrumentation and Cyber-Physical System Engineering (SeNSE)

Director, INTRINSIC Lab – Intelligent Robotics and Rebooting Computing Chip Design Laboratory

"Intrinsic devices to deployed intelligence"

Lab Mission & Vision

Mission

To develop sensor-rich cyber-physical systems engineering capabilities by combining materials science, instrumentation, and device-aware computing - enabling robust, energy-efficient, and secure sensing and decision-making for defense, healthcare, space tech, robotics, and emerging technologies.

Vision

Translate intrinsic material and device behaviors into scalable, field-ready systems through rigorous instrumentation, automated characterization, and device-to-system co-design so that technologies move from prototype to deployment with engineering confidence.

"We co-design materials, devices, and computing to unlock intrinsic properties as functional primitives, integrating beyond-CMOS logic, neuromorphic perception, biomedical IC design, and hardware-rooted security. From defense and healthcare robotics to non-invasive wearable electronics, we engineer sensor-rich cyber-physical systems through rigorous instrumentation and automated characterization, translating device behavior into field-ready solutions."
